Regular Season Round 3: La Fecha - BIOK2.COM OKE 77-75

La Fecha used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Ordizia 77-75 on Saturday night. BIOK2.COM OKE was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. La Fecha forced 26 BIOK2.COM OKE turnovers. Strangely BIOK2.COM OKE outrebounded La Fecha 43-27 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for point guard Andres Fernandez (178-89) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Guard Jorge Martinez (181-96) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Forward Asier De la Iglesia (201-83) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and Andoni Gaztanaga added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for BIOK2.COM OKE. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. La Fecha will face CBT Gimnastica (#11) in Torrelavega in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BIOK2.COM OKE will play at home against Easo and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
