Regular Season Round 4: Levallois - Limoges 68-79

Limoges can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Levallois, where they defeated Levallois (1-3) 79-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Limoges. Levallois managed to win fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Levallois 42-28 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Limoges looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of DR Congolese center Merveille Muninga (203-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and forward Tim Eboh (197-97) who added 10 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Limoges players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Ivan Fevrier (204-99) responded with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and point guard Sylvain Francisco (180-97, college: High School) scored 21 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Limoges left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Levallois. It was Levallois' third loss in a row. Limoges will meet at home higher ranked Strasbourg (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Levallois will play against Hyeres-Toulon (#6) and hope to win that game.
