Regular Season Round 1: Marousi - Arkadikos 84-68

Marousi used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Arkadia 84-68 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Marousi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Arkadikos' 30. Marousi forced 21 Arkadikos turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for guard Giorgos Sourlis (190-85) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Christos Dakoulias (186-87) contributed with 10 points, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four Marousi players scored in double figures. Marousi's coach Kostas Keramidas used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Center Savvas Tsougarakis (207-86) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Pantelis Maragakis (185-94) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Arkadikos. Marousi will face Ermis Agias (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Arkadikos will play against AE Larissas (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
