Regular Season Round 4: Eanna - DCU Saints 95-75
Date: October 7, 2017
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Dublin: Eanna (#7) and DCU Saints (#10). Eanna (2-1) smashed visiting DCU Saints (1-3) by 20 points 95-75. Eanna shot 61.7 percent from the field. Strangely DCU Saints outrebounded Eanna 52-35 including 20 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by American point guard Tamron Manning (193-93, college: Ky Wesleyan) who scored that evening 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Aidan Dunne (198-97) supported him with 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Eanna players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 32 points and 20 rebounds by American center Dee Proby (208-88, college: Oklahoma City) did not help to save the game for DCU Saints. Martin Neary (198-97) added 15 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. DCU Saints' coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Eanna moved-up to sixth place. DCU Saints at the other side dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Eanna's next round opponent will be Moycullen (#7) in Galway. DCU Saints will play on the road against Tralee and hope to win that game.
