Regular Season Round 3: RAC Basket - Lourdes 79-62

There was no surprise when Lourdes-Tarbes (0-3) was defeated on the road by Rueil (3-0) 79-62 on Saturday. Rueil forced 21 Lourdes-Tarbes turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) who scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Vincentian-Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and the former international center Ludovic Vaty (206-88, college: Moraine Valley CC) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively. Four Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Rueil will face UB Chartres (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against Saint Vallier (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
