Regular Season Round 4: Shinshu BW - Bambitious Nara 75-71

There was no surprise when 4th ranked Bambitious Nara (1-3) lost to top-ranked Shinshu BW (4-0) in Nagano 71-75 on Sunday. Bambitious Nara was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shinshu BW made 8 blocks. It was a very good performance for American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks. Yosuke Yosuke (184-85) contributed with 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Shinshu BW's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: N.Mexico St.) replied with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Kiichi Kikuyama (178-92) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Bambitious Nara. They have a solid four-game winning streak. Shinshu BW maintains first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Fukuoka Rizing and Akita NH. Bambitious Nara at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. Shinshu BW will face league's leader Akita Happinets on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bambitious Nara will play against Sendai 89ers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
