Regular Season Round 4: Osorno - CDU Catolica 100-94

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Osorno Basquetbol and one of their biggest challengers Universidad Catolica had identical 1-2 record. This time Osorno Basquetbol used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Santiago 100-94 on Sunday night. Osorno Basquetbol dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Universidad Catolica's 38. Osorno Basquetbol looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Universidad Catolica was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Terrell Taylor (203-81, college: Virginia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and the other American import Durrell Summers (193-89, college: Michigan St.) who added 28 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Argentinian point guard Damian Palacios (177-85) responded with 25 points and 7 assists and American forward Aaron Nelson (203-91, college: S.Indiana) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Osorno Basquetbol (2-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Universidad Catolica lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with three games lost. Osorno Basquetbol will face league's second-placed Deportivo Valdivia on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Universidad Catolica will play against the league's leader Espanol de Talca and hope to win that game.
