Regular Season Round 4: Boulazac - Gravelines 75-71

Boulazac Basket's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Gravelines-Dunkerque (0-4) 75-71. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Boulazac Basket outrebounded Gravelines-Dunkerque 33-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. Power forward Darnell Jackson (206-85, college: Kansas) fired 17 points for the winners. Point guard Dustin Ware (183-90, college: Georgia) chipped in 13 points. Four Boulazac Basket players scored in double figures. Boulazac Basket's coach Claude Bergeaud allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Point guard DJ Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) produced 8 points and 9 assists and power forward Taylor Smith (199-91, college: SF Austin) added 16 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) respectively for lost side. Boulazac Basket (1-3) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Cholet and Paris-Levallois. It was Gravelines-Dunkerque's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Boulazac Basket's next round opponent will be higher ranked Chalons-Reims (#13) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against the league's second-placed Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
