Quarter-Finals Round 2: Franca - Osasco B. 90-84

Franca held off Osasco to sweep the quarterfinal series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Osasco B. won fourth quarter 26-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Osasco B. outrebounded Vivo/Franca 40-27 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Osasco B. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Antonio Ferreira (200-94) scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international Leonardo Meindl (201-93) chipped in 15 points and 8 assists during the contest. Five Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. Vivo/Franca's coach Helinho Garcia used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Leonardo Fernandes (185-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds and the former international power forward William Drudi (206-81) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds.
