Important game to mention about took place in Caracas. Fifth ranked Metropolitanos (4-5) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Comuna (4-5) 76-74 in the game for the third place. It was a good game for the former international forward Lenin Lopez (198-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Yochuar Palacios (183-88) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Carlos Olmedo replied with 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and swingman Leonardo Berroteran (192-81) added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Comuna. Comuna's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Metropolitanos moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Comuna. Comuna lost third consecutive game. Metropolitanos will play against league's leader Cangrejeros in Maturin in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Comuna will play at home against the league's second-placed Guaros 2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
