Bottom-ranked Walter Tigers (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to eleventh ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (2-2) 100-99 on Friday evening. Mitteldeutscher BC dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Walter Tigers' 34. Mitteldeutscher BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian swingman Djordje Drenovac (201-92) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and American forward Kruize Pinkins (203-93, college: USF) who added 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Reggie Upshaw (203-95, college: Middle Tenn.St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and his fellow American import guard Ryan Brooks (193-88, college: Temple) scored 21 points and 7 assists. Five Mitteldeutscher BC and four Walter Tigers players scored in double figures. Mitteldeutscher BC moved-up to tenth place. Loser Walter Tigers still closes the standings with four games lost. Mitteldeutscher BC will face higher ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#8) in Frankfurt in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Walter Tigers will play on the road against the league's second-placed s Oliver Baskets (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
