Regular Season Round 3: Leeuwarden - Zwolle 61-81

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Leeuwarden (2-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Zwolle (3-0) 81-61. The game was mostly controlled by Zwolle. Leeuwarden managed to win third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Leeuwarden to just 7 points in second quarter. Zwolle made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Noah Dahlman (201-89, college: Wofford) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points. His fellow American import forward Franko House (198-94, college: Ball St.) helped adding 18 points. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Stefan Mladenovic (190-90) with 16 points and 5 assists and Canadian Meshack Lufile (203-92, college: Cape Breton) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zwolle are looking forward to face Den Bosch at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Leeuwarden will play against Rotterdam and is hoping to win this game.
