Regular Season Round 5: Begastri - Valencia II 59-64

Everything could happen in Cehegin at the game between two tied teams. Both leader Valencia-2 and second-ranked Begastri had identical 0-0 record. But Begastri was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Valencia 64-59 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in Group E. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Valencia-2 outrebounded Begastri 48-29 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Pablo Bono (185-92) who scored 6 points and 16 rebounds. Center Alejandro Vera (200-97) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds.
