Regular Season Round 3: Turk Telekom - Samsun 83-64

Very predictable result when Turk Telekom (3-0) rolled over Samsun (0-3) in Ankara 83-64. Turk Telekom players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) who scored 11 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Polat Kaya (197-86) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Turk Telekom's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Ulug Kacaniku (202-85) who recorded 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Bulgarian power forward Dejan Ivanov (205-86, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Five Turk Telekom and four Samsun players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom's next round opponent will be Duzce Belediye (#16) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Samsun will play against TED Kolejliler and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
