Regular Season Round 4: Pruszkow - Pogon Prudnik 71-72

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Pogon Prudnik and 13th ranked Pruszkow had identical 1-2 record. But Pruszkow was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Prudnik 72-71 on Saturday night. Quite impressive performance for center Piotr Zielinski (200-83) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. Tomasz Prostak (188-88, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Pogon Prudnik players scored in double figures. Center Damian Cechniak (208-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Mikolaj Stopierzynski (190-94) added 17 points in the effort for Pruszkow. Pogon Prudnik (2-2) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Pruszkow keeps the thirteenth position with three games lost. Pogon Prudnik will face R8 Krakow (#11) at home in the next round. Pruszkow will play against Kotwica in Kolobrzeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
