Regular Season Round 2: Peristeri GS - Psychiko 72-62

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Psychiko (1-1) in Athens on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Peristeri GS (2-0) 72-62. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-62. Peristeri GS dominated on the defensive end, holding Psychiko to just 6 points in third quarter. American-Bulgarian point guard Keydren Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Alexandros Sigounas (200-88, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Psychiko's coach Nikos Remendelas rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Peristeri GS is looking forward to face Arkadikos (#13) in Arkadia in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Psychiko will play on the road against Ethnikos (#12) in Pireus and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
