Regular Season Round 2: Kastoria - Doxa Lefkadas 79-82

A very close game took place in Kastoria between Doxa Lefkadas and Kastoria. Doxa Lefkadas (2-0) got a very close victory on the road over Kastoria (0-2). Doxa Lefkadas managed to escape with a 3-point win 82-79 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 22-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Nikos Liakopoulos (188-83) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Doxa Lefkadas will meet at home Amyntas Dafnis (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kastoria will play against Doukas (#14) in Athens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
