Third ranked Universidad de Concepcion (3-3) saved a 1-point derby victory on the road edging 5th ranked Universidad Catolica (1-5) 76-75 on Sunday evening. American players dominated the game. Tracy Robinson (201-86, college: Loyola, IL) scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Musa Abdul-Aleem (196-88, college: Troy) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Terrance Motley (201-91, college: Sam Houston St.) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds and forward Aaron Nelson (203-91, college: S.Indiana) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. Universidad de Concepcion moved-up to second place, which they share with Puente Alto and Los Leones. Universidad Catolica lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Universidad de Concepcion will play against league's second-placed Deportivo Valdivia at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Universidad Catolica will play against AB Ancud (#3) to get more than just one victory in their record.
