Regular Season Round 4: Orebro - Eskilstuna 50-87

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Eskilstuna (2-1) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Orebro (0-3) 87-50 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Eskilstuna. Orebro was better in fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Orebro 42-20 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ramon Mirianidis (183-95) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Pontus Lennartsson (198-93) who added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Eskilstuna players scored in double figures. At the losing side Tonny Dabaueh (-97) responded with 7 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian swingman Aleksa Simovic (194-98) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Eskilstuna moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted Orebro still closes the standings with three games lost. Eskilstuna will face Boras II (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Orebro will play against Haga BG in Norrkoping and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
