Franca topped Bauru to step closer to the Paulista League Finals. The game was mostly controlled by Vivo/Franca. Paschoalotto/Bauru was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vivo/Franca made 26-of-32 charity shots (81.3 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Paschoalotto/Bauru was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. International Leonardo Meindl (201-93) notched 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and swingman Antonio Ferreira (200-94) supported him with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Even 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals by international guard Alex Garcia (191-80, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Paschoalotto/Bauru. International forward Renan Lenz (206-90, college: Utah) added 17 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Four Vivo/Franca and five Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
