Regular Season Round 2: Prinemanye - Grodno-93 52-94

Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Grodno: Grodno-93 (#5) and Prinemanye (#6). Prinemanye was smashed at home by 42 points 52-94 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Grodno-93 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Prinemanye to just 4 points in third quarter. Grodno-93 dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Prinemanye's 28. Grodno-93 forced 26 Prinemanye turnovers and outrebounded them 51-32 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Prinemanye's players. The former international guard Kiryl Sitnik (190-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international guard Dmitry Kuzmin (196-75) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Grodno-93 players scored in double figures. Grodno-93's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Vladislav Svakel (178-0) replied with 17 points and point guard Maksim Liahchylin (175-98) added 12 points in the effort for Prinemanye. Grodno-93 will play against Vitebsk (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Prinemanye will play against Brest (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
