Regular Season Round 2: Prinemanye - Grodno-93 57-77

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Grodno: Grodno-93 (#5) and Prinemanye (#6). Prinemanye was smashed at home by 20 points 57-77 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. Grodno-93 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Prinemanye's 30. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Kiryl Sitnik (190-89) who scored 17 points. Forward Dmitriy Chumakov (203-93) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Grodno-93's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ukrainian guard Anatoli Konev (192-92) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Maksim Liahchylin (175-98) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Grodno-93 is looking forward to face Vitebsk (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Prinemanye will play against Brest (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
