Everything went according to plan in Tenerife where seventh ranked CB Canarias (4-1) beat 10th ranked RETAbet BB (2-3) 83-69 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when CB Canarias's pressure prevailed and they won that period 32-21 extending their advantage to 14 points. CB Canarias outrebounded RETAbet BB 44-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Polish swingman Mateusz Ponitka (196-93) stepped up and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and point guard Ferran Bassas (183-92) chipped in 11 points.
