Regular Season Round 6: Inter Bratislava - Zilina 103-89

Leader Inter Bratislava delivered the fifth victory. This time they beat 10th ranked Zilina (1-5) 103-89. They outrebounded Zilina 41-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. Inter Bratislava players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Zilina's players. It was a good game for the former international center Michal Batka (204-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Serbian Stefan Matovic (203-91, agency: BeoExcell) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Inter Bratislava's coach Oliver Vidin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Walter Wright (178, college: Montana) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals and guard Robert Rozanek (190-96) added 24 points in the effort for Zilina. Four Inter Bratislava and five Zilina players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first position with 5-1 record, which they share with Levice. Zilina lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with five games lost. They share the position with Handlova. Inter Bratislava will play against Kosice (#4) at home in the next round. Zilina will play against Iskra Svit (#3) to get more than just one victory in their record.
