Hapoel Jerusalem (3-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat Hapoel Tel-Aviv (1-2) 100-84. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Jerusalem. Hapoel Tel-Aviv managed to win third quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Jerusalem made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a quality performance for American forward Austin Daye (211-88, college: Gonzaga, agency: Alti Sport) who led the winners and scored 28 points. International power forward Richard Howell (203-90, college: N.Carolina St.) accounted for 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. American power forward Jeff Allen (201-87, college: Virginia Tech) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and international Tomer Ginat (202-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the defeat. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Hapoel Jerusalem will meet at home Maccabi Ashdod (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Hapoel Eilat (#9) and hope to win that game.
