Regular Season Round 6: Toyota B SR - Chanson V-M 69-62

There was an upset in Aichi where higher ranked Chanson V-M (4-2) was defeated by tenth ranked Toyota B SR (2-4) 69-62 on Sunday. Chanson V-M trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 20-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 62-69 at the end of the game. Toyota B SR dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Chanson V-M's 26. They outrebounded Chanson V-M 50-35 including a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Yui Kawahara (169-91) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard LiQuan Luohe (165-91) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and international forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Toyota B SR and four Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. Toyota B SR moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Aishin AW and Haneda Vickies. Loser Chanson V-M keeps the third position with two games lost. Toyota B SR will face bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (#12) on the road in the next round. Chanson V-M will play against Denso Iris (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
