Regular Season Round 3: Bnei Hertzeliya - Hapoel Holon 85-90

There was a surprise result when Hapoel Holon (1-2) beat Bnei Hasharon (1-2) in Hod Hasharon 90-85 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 28-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Hapoel Holon made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. It was a good game for naturalized American forward Joe Alexander (203-86, college: W.Virginia) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Corey Walden (188-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: KMG Sports Management) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. Hapoel Holon's coach Dan Shamir used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Tom Maayan (186-93, college: Seton Hall) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Hapoel Holon will face Galil Gilboa (#8) in Rosh Pina in the next round.
