Regular Season Round 9: Hiroshima D. - Fukuoka Rizing 67-68

Important game to mention about took place in Hiroshima. First ranked Fukuoka Rizing (8-1) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Dragonflies (5-4) 68-67 on Wednesday evening. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) contributed with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Fukuoka Rizing's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) answered with 8 points and 17 rebounds and guard Terrence Drisdom (196-92, college: Cal Poly Pomona) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Dragonflies. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first place with 8-1 record. Dragonflies at the other side keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Kanazawa Sam.. Fukuoka Rizing will play against Aomori Watts (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dragonflies will play against Toyotsu FE and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
