Regular Season Round 5: Borea - Trepca 78-88

Trepca can celebrate their first win this season after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Peja, where they defeated Borea (1-4) 88-78. Trepca made 25-of-29 charity shots (86.2 percent) during the game, while Borea only scored seven points from the stripe. Trepca forced 27 Borea turnovers. Strangely Borea outrebounded Trepca 39-26 including 31 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Mark Williams (203, college: Temple) orchestrated the victory by scoring 37 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Point guard Musab Malaj (185-96) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Allen Idrizaj (196-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Blendi Matoshi (196-94) added 19 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Borea. Borea's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Trepca left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Borea. Trepca will play against higher ranked Rahoveci (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Borea will play against the league's leader Sigal Prishtina (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
