Regular Season Round 5: Randers - Naestved 99-116

The game in Randers supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Naestved (5-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Randers (2-2). Naestved did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 116-99 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Randers. The game without a history. Naestved led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 58.6 percentage. Naestved looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. British guard Conner Washington (183-92) stepped up and scored 25 points and 9 assists for the winners and Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (205-93, college: Wisc.-Parkside) chipped in 23 points and 8 rebounds. American-Belizean forward Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) responded with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Kyndahl Hill (201-94, college: Weber St.) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Naestved keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Horsens IC. Loser Randers dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Naestved will meet at home league's leader Horsens IC in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Randers will play against BMS Skovlunde (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
