Regular Season Round 6: Caceres - CB Clavijo 91-77

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Cocinas.com (2-4) lost on the road to sixteenth ranked Caceres Basket (2-4) 91-77. The game was mostly controlled by Caceres Basket. Cocinas.com was better in third quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Caceres Basket made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Canadian-Guyanese guard Warren Ward (196-89, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Caceres Basket players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) who recorded 20 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Tre Coggins (190, college: CS Fullerton) added 12 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Caceres Basket moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Cocinas.com. Cocinas.com lost third consecutive game. Caceres Basket's next round opponent will be higher ranked Sammic ISB (#10) in Azpeitia and it may be quite challenging game.
