The most surprising game was a loss of Fuerza Regia (2-1) in San Luis Potosi on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Santos (2-1) 83-73. It was a good game for American forward Curtis Withers (203-84, college: Charlotte, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. American-Dominican Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Santos players scored in double figures. answered with 18 points and international forward Juan Toscano (198-93, college: Marquette, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points in the effort for Fuerza Regia. Santos is again looking forward to face Fuerza Regia (#6) in Monterrey in the next round. Fuerza Regia will have a break next round.
