No shocking result in a game in Tripoli where fourth ranked Al Moutahed (3-1) defeated 6th ranked Byblos (1-2) 77-72. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Al Moutahed dominated on the defensive end, holding Byblos to just 7 points in first quarter. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by power forward Darian Townes (208-84) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and forward Ricardo Powell (199-83, college: S.Carolina) supported him with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Al Moutahed players scored in double figures. Even 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado, agency: KMG Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Byblos. Byblos will play on the road against Beirut Club (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
