Regular Season Round 10: Hiroshima D. - Toyotsu FE 75-92

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Dragonflies (5-5) against fourth ranked Toyotsu FE (5-5) on Saturday night. Host Dragonflies were defeated by Toyotsu FE in Hiroshima 92-75. Toyotsu FE looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and point guard Kohei Fukuzawa (177-93) supported him with 21 points. Four Toyotsu FE players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by forward Ataru Sakata (192-91) did not help to save the game for Dragonflies. American power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) added 19 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyotsu FE moved-up to third place, which they share with Hiroshima D. Toyotsu FE will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dragonflies will play again against Toyotsu FE and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
