Regular Season Round 6: Bakken - Horsholm 81-89

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Bakken (2-1) in Risskov on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Horsholm (5-2) 89-81. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bakken. It was a good game for American forward Matt Bonds (196, college: St.Michael's, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. The other American import guard Ty Sabin (190-94, college: Ripon, agency: Duran International) contributed with 26 points for the winners. American-Trinidad and Tobago forward Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St., agency: Slash Sports) replied with 13 points and 5 rebounds and international forward Darko Jukic (199-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 14 points in the effort for Bakken. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Horsholm moved-up to second place, which they share with Naestved. Defending champion Bakken keeps the fifth position with one game lost. Horsholm is looking forward to face league's second-placed Naestved at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bakken will have a break next round.
