Regular Season Round 7: GKS Tychy - Polonia Leszno 85-108

An interesting game for Polonia Leszno (6-1) which played road game in Tychy against 4th placed GKS Tychy (4-2). Third ranked Polonia Leszno had an easy win 108-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of GKS Tychy. Polonia Leszno dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to GKS Tychy's 32. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. 26 personal fouls committed by GKS Tychy helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Kamil Chanas (190-85) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). Adam Kaczmarzyk (198-88, agency: Promotex) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Filip Malgorzaciak (192-93) answered with 18 points and Marcin Kowalewski (200-86, agency: Promotex) added 21 points in the effort for GKS Tychy. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Polonia Leszno moved-up to second place, which they share with Sokol Lancut. GKS Tychy at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with R8 Krakow. Polonia Leszno will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. GKS Tychy will play on the road against Pruszkow (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
