Regular Season Round 8: Ereliai Mazeikiai - Ezerunas 62-76

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Ezerunas (4-4) beat on the road 7th ranked Ereliai Mazeikiai (4-4) 76-62 on Saturday. Karolis Lukosiunas (196-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points. Jonas Zakas (192-97) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Aurimas Urbonas (190-93) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Darius Marcinkevicius (201-91) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ereliai Mazeikiai. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Ezerunas moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Ereliai Mazeikiai. Ezerunas will face bottom-ranked KTU (#14) in Kaunas in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
