Regular Season Round 7: Iskra Svit - Zilina 107-87

Very expected game when 10th ranked Zilina (1-6) was smashed on the road by third ranked Iskra Svit (5-2) 107-87 on Saturday. Iskra Svit looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian point guard Sasa Avramovic (193-93, agency: BeoBasket) who led the winners and scored 39 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Serbian power forward Vladimir Ivelja (204-88) accounted for 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American point guard Walter Wright (178, college: Montana) came up with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and Roman Skvasik (193-96) added 24 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) respectively for Zilina in the defeat. Four Iskra Svit and five Zilina players scored in double figures. Iskra Svit maintains third place with 5-2 record behind leader Inter Bratislava. Zilina lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Iskra Svit will meet Kosice (#4) on the road in the next round. Zilina will play against Rieker KN (#6) and hope to win that game.
