Regular Season Round 11: Ryukyu GK - Chiba Jets 68-60

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second-ranked Chiba Jets' (8-3) road loss to first ranked Ryukyu GK (7-4) in Okinawa 60-68 on Sunday. It was a key game for the top position in the league. International guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). International forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) added 9 points and 5 assists in the effort for Chiba Jets. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Ryukyu GK maintains first place with 7-4 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Chiba Jets keep the second position with three games lost. Ryukyu GK will face Hokkaido L. (#3) in Saporro in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Chiba Jets will play on the road against Tochigi Brex and hope to win that game.
