Regular Season Round 8: Haneda Vickies - JX-Eneos S. 45-107

WJBL top team - JX-Eneos S. (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Haneda Vickies (2-6) in Tokyo 107-45. The game without a history. JX-Eneos S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Haneda Vickies to just 6 points in first and third quarters. JX-Eneos S. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Haneda Vickies' 36. JX-Eneos S. forced 22 Haneda Vickies turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Haneda Vickies' players. The winners were led by the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who scored that evening 25 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!) and power forward Kadysha Umezawa (183-98) supported her with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four JX-Eneos S. players scored in double figures. Even 10 points and 5 rebounds by power forward Yumi Hiromi (180-90) did not help to save the game for Haneda Vickies. Forward Mami Koyama (180-95) added 10 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-0 record. Haneda Vickies at the other side keep the tenth place with six games lost.
