Regular Season Round 10: CDU Catolica - Los Leones 72-80

Liga Nacional top team - Los Leones (6-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Universidad Catolica (2-8) in Santiago 80-72. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Evandro Arteaga (178-83) who helped to win the game recording 26 points. The former international Darrol Jones (193-94) contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Aaron Nelson (203-91, college: S.Indiana) replied with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Terrance Motley (201-91, college: Sam Houston St.) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Universidad Catolica. Los Leones maintains first position with 6-4 record, which they share with CDU Concepcion and CDE Talca. Universidad Catolica at the other side keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. Los Leones' next round opponent will be Tinguiririca S.F. (#5) in San Fernando. Universidad Catolica will play on the road against Tinguiririca S.F. in San Fernando and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
