Regular Season Round 7: Dijon - Levallois 93-85
Date: October 29, 2017
Rather expected game when 14th ranked Paris-Levallois (2-5) lost on the road to eleventh ranked JDA Dijon (4-3) 93-85 on Sunday. Paris-Levallois trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 12 after three quarters before a 22-18 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 85-93 at the end of the game. JDA Dijon shot 60.8 percent from the field and made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for Nigerian-American guard Rasheed Sulaimon (193-94, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws). American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 19 points for the winners. International Boris Diaw (203-82) answered with 14 points and 4 assists and American forward Roderick Odom (206-91, college: Vanderbilt, agency: 3Eye) added 16 points in the effort for Paris-Levallois. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Paris-Levallois' coach Frederic Fauthoux tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. JDA Dijon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Paris-Levallois keeps the fourteenth position with five games lost. JDA Dijon will face league's second-placed Pau-Lacq-Orthez on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Paris-Levallois will play against the league's leader Le Mans (#1) and hope to win that game.
