Regular Season Round 4: Mersin BSB - Adana ASKI 76-63

Bottom-ranked Adana ASKI (0-3) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 76-63 loss to eighth ranked Mersin BSB (2-2) in Mersin on Sunday evening. Mersin BSB had a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Adana ASKI was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Bria Hartley (173-92, college: Connecticut) fired 25 points for the winners. The other American import center Krystal Thomas (195-89, college: Duke) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Lithuanian guard Kamile Nacickaite (181-89, college: Drexel) produced 17 points and American center Michelle Snow (196-80, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mersin BSB moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Botas and Canik Belediye. Loser Adana ASKI still closes the standings with three games lost. Mersin BSB will face Bornova (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Adana ASKI's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Mersin Cukurova.
