Regular Season Round 7: RAC Basket - Gries/Oberhoffen 85-80

First defeat of league's leader Gries/Oberhoffen (6-1) against fifth ranked Rueil (5-2) 85-80 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Gries/Oberhoffen. Rueil looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Four Rueil players scored in double figures. Spanish guard Xavier Forcada (194-88) answered with 23 points and 5 assists and American forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Gries/Oberhoffen. Rueil moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Gries/Oberhoffen at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Saint Vallier. Gries/Oberhoffen will play next round against Vendee Challans trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Rueil will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Saint Vallier at home.
