Regular Season Round 8: Al-Nweidrat - Samaheej 70-64

Bottom-ranked Samaheej (0-7) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to second ranked Al-Nweidrat (7-1) 70-64 on Wednesday evening. Al-Nweidrat outrebounded Samaheej 48-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Hussain Hasan who scored 17 points. Ebrahim Albasri chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds. Hussain Busafwan produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and Mohammed Busafwan added 19 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Al-Nweidrat have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al-Ahli. Samaheej at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. They share the position with Hidd. Al-Nweidrat will meet at home league's leader Al-Ahli in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
