Regular Season Round 6: Palermo GB - Crema 61-88

Very expected game when 15th ranked Palermo GB (1-5) was smashed at home by second ranked Crema (5-1) 88-61 on Wednesday. Crema looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for point guard Francesco Paolin (190-95) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Andrea Dagnello (189-91) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Andrea Lombardo (197-90) replied with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Daro Gullo (185-86) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Palermo GB. Palermo GB's coach Marco Verderosa gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Crema maintains second position in B with 5-1 record behind leader Cento, which they share with Piacenza. Palermo GB lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth place with five games lost. Crema will face league's leader Cento at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Palermo GB will play against Piacenza (#3) and hope to win that game.
