Regular Season Round 9: KTU - Ezerunas 90-99

Very expected game in Kaunas where 14th ranked KTU (1-8) was defeated by eighth ranked Ezerunas (5-4) 99-90. Ezerunas players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was a good game for guard Arnas Adomavicius (185-0) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 7 rebounds. Karolis Lukosiunas (196-97) contributed with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Ezerunas players scored in double figures. Point guard Martynas Zigmantavicius (187-96) answered with 30 points and 4 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and point guard Matas Sapiega (178-90) added 12 points and 11 assists in the effort for KTU. KTU's coach Vytautas Pliauga rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ezerunas. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Neptunas-Akv. and Taurages. KTU at the other side stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Ezerunas' next round opponent will be Delikatesas (#11) in Joniskis which should be theoretically an easy game. KTU will play on the road against Jonava and hope to win that game.
