The game in Minsk supposed to be also worth to mention about. Top-ranked Grodno-93 (8-0) played at the court of 7th ranked Tsmoki II (2-6). Grodno-93 smashed Tsmoki II 92-65. The game was mostly controlled by Grodno-93. Tsmoki II was better in fourth quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grodno-93 dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tsmoki II's 26. They outrebounded Tsmoki II 45-30 including 34 on the defensive glass. Grodno-93 players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tsmoki II's players. The winners were led by Ukrainian power forward Andriy Kulish (205-92) who scored that evening 19 points and 6 rebounds and Ukrainian forward Ivan Kaliayev (200-87) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Five Grodno-93 players scored in double figures. Even 6 points by point guard Vladislau Bliznyk (181-99) did not help to save the game for Tsmoki II. Forward Stainslau Ulyanka (196-99) added 9 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Grodno-93 have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with COR-Borisfen and Tsmoki-Minsk. Tsmoki II lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Grodno-93's next round opponent will be Brest (#6) at home where they are favorite. Tsmoki II's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena RCOP Tsmoki.
