Regular Season Round 9: Iskra Svit - Nova Ves 106-102

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Iskra Svit (6-3) defeated at home 9th ranked Nova Ves (2-7) 106-102. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Iskra Svit shot 62.7 percent from the field. Nova Ves were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Anthony Jackson (196-89, college: Florida Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Serbian point guard Sasa Avramovic (193-93, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 28 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Bosnian center Djordje Ninkovic (210-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Adam Antoni (191-95) added 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) in the effort for Nova Ves. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Iskra Svit moved-up to third place. Nova Ves lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Zilina. Iskra Svit will play against league's second-placed Levice at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nova Ves will play against Rieker KN (#6) in Komarno and hope to get back on the winning track.
