Regular Season Round 4: Fos-Provence - Nancy 67-75

Another exciting game was played in Fos-sur-Mer between seventh ranked Sluc Nancy and 6th ranked Provence Basket where Sluc Nancy (3-1) beat Provence Basket (2-2) on the road 75-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Provence Basket. The guests were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-16 Provence Basket's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 75-67 at the end of the game. Sluc Nancy made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Dewayne Russell (180-94, college: Grand Canyon) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 assists. Power forward Mickael Var (205-90) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) replied with 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and Ivorian-American swingman Charles Abouo (196-89, college: BYU) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Provence Basket. Sluc Nancy moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Caen and Blois. Provence Basket at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Sluc Nancy will play against JA Vichy (#8) at home in the next round. Provence Basket will play against SPO Rouen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
